Children up to 2 years old must be accompanied by an adult at least 18 years old and may travel on the accompanying adult’s lap as infants. One infant without a seat per accompanying adult is permitted. A separate seat can be purchased for a child up to 2 years old. At the moment of reservation, specify that the child belongs to the category of children from 2 to 12 years, and the ticket will be issued in accordance with the applicable fare and discount.
Does Air Moldova offer discounts for infants and children?
An infant with no seat is entitled to a 90% discount on the adult fare. If you want or are required (e.g. when traveling with twins under 2 years of age) to reserve a separate seat, then the child discount will apply.
As a rule, children aged 2 to 12 years (not completed) are entitled to a 25% or 33% discount on the adult fare (depending on the destination). There can be exceptions, such as special or promotional fares, which do not allow discounts.
Infants’ Baggage
Whether a separate seat has been reserved or not, passengers traveling with children up to 2 years may take on board, free of charge and besides their hand baggage, baby food for consumption on board and a baby basket.
Infants traveling on lap have a free baggage allowance of one piece of checked baggage with a maximum weight of 10 kg and maximum dimensions of 115 cm (width + height + depth). Excess baggage is not permitted for children up to 2 years of age.
When a separate seat is reserved for an infant, the infant is entitled to the standard baggage allowance depending on the destination.
A folding pushchair up to 10 kg is transported free of charge, and its weight is not included in the free baggage allowance.
