Does AnadoluJet offer special services for children traveling alone?
AnadoluJet offers two special services for children traveling alone: the Unaccompanied Minor Service and the Escort Service. There are several differences between these services, such as age restrictions, charges, etc., but the main difference is that when the Escort Service is requested, an escort is specially appointed to accompany the child during the flight and through all the procedures and formalities before and after the flight, while children traveling as Unaccompanied Minors are supervised successively by AnadoluJet staff in charge of the respective departure or arrival procedure and by the cabin crew during the flight.
What are the main conditions of the two services?
The Escort Service is mandatory for children between 2 and 7 years of age not accompanied by their parents or relatives. The service is also available, on an optional basis, to children aged between 7 and 12 years. The request for the Escort Service must be made 48 hours prior to the flight departure.
Children between 7 and 12 years old can travel alone as Unaccompanied Minors upon payment of an additional service charge. The Unaccompanied Minor Service can also be provided to passengers between 12 and 19 years of age, but only on special request from parents/guardians.
At departure, parents or legal guardians must accompany the child to the check-in counter at least 2 hours before departure in order to complete all necessary formalities.
Please contact AnadoluJet for last minute information regarding the fees that apply to these services.
