Older airplane but well maintained, entertainment system is very outdated, not interactive so you can not pause your movie. Flight attendants were above 40.

Fleet is aging and these 777 inherited from Lauda Air are begging to be retired. Austrian crew are always pleasant and food service and entertainment predicatable and reliable. Always an option if needed but best to avoid if possible

There is nothing fancy about Austrian Airlines. They're essentially a national, low cost carrier. They get you on and off. Nary a smile to be seen on the face of the cabin crew. Some of the 320s have new type seats which place the magazine rack higher, thus allowing a bit more legroom, despite the bone crushing seat pitch. I had the new type outbound to Athens, but inbound was the older type and the seat was not very comfortable at all. Austrian is a cheap, reliable alternative to Ryanair and other low cost carriers for getting around Europe and allows you to earn points with Miles and More. Just don't expect much in the way of onboard service.

Business Class ful impossible to obtain an upgrade... the service on Austrian in economy was fenomenal!!! Great meal, always someone of the crew walking around to check everything is fine and if someone need something to drink or an snack to eat.. WAS FANTASTIC. Before departure...and after landing they give you bottle of Austrian Mineral water...seats are better than other airlines in economy... individual LCD screeen..small screen but good etertainment.

OS 858 October 2009. The seat pitch was tight and grossly uncomfortable for a 5'11'' man - it was impossible to bring ones legs together. When the passenger in front reclined his seat, his head was only about 12 inches from my face. Seated in the last row, I received my meal first and a drink last - 18 minutes after finishing the meal. The screens were too far from row 34. As seems normal, Lufthansa's Stephan Lauer, now CEO of subsidiary Austrian, would not reply to a complaint.

24D is the ultimate seat. It has plenty of legroom...more than anyone may need. 24B and C are not the same at all.
