Do I really need to reserve a seat for my baby when flying with AZAL Azerbaijan Airlines?
When traveling with a baby aged up to 2 years, you don’t need to reserve a separate seat. If you make the booking for your baby as infant, you must hold the baby on your lap. An adult can only travel with one baby on lap.
As long as you have a proper restraint device, you can always choose to purchase a seat for your baby. Also, if you travel with two babies, you must purchase a child ticket for the second baby. For this second baby, you must bring a baby car seat. Please contact AZAL Azerbaijan Airlines to get information regarding the car seats approved for use aboard its aircraft.
Traveling with Babies
Infants (children under the age of 2 who do not occupy a seat) receive a 90% discount on the adult fare. The free baggage allowance for infants is one piece of baggage with a total weight not exceeding 10 kg and the maximum size (sum of the three dimensions) of no more than 115 cm.
Children under the age of 2 for whom a separate seat has been purchased and children from 2 to 12 years old receive a 25-33% discount on the adult fare. If a separate seat is purchased for the baby and for children aged 2 to 12 years, the baggage allowance is equal to that of an adult passenger.
Baby strollers of all types are carried strictly in the baggage hold and accepted for carriage free of charge in addition to the free baggage allowance.
