What is Bulgaria Air policy regarding hand baggage?
Passengers of Bulgaria Air have the right to carry hand baggage with maximum dimensions of 55 x 40 x 23 cm (118 cm), while number and weight are set according to the travel class:
- Economy – 1 piece up to 10 kg.
- Business – 2 pieces up to 15 kg total weight.
Besides the hand baggage allowance, passengers are allowed to take on board 1 personal item/laptop bag free of charge.
What is Bulgaria Air policy regarding checked baggage?
The baggage policy of Bulgaria Air is set by the Piece Concept. The weight of any piece of checked baggage must not exceed 32 kg. Any piece of baggage that weighs more than this maximum weight will be accepted only as cargo.
Passengers of Bulgaria Air are entitled to a free baggage allowance depending on the travel class and fare:

Sports Equipment
Bulgaria Air allows its passengers to carry sports equipment on all flights for an EUR 50 one-way fee, as long as its weight does not exceed maximum 23 kg, and the sum of its dimensions is smaller than 203 cm.
There are two exceptions:
- 1 set of ski / snowboard equipment – free of charge.
- Bicycles with prior confirmation (max. size of package 160 х 90 х 25 cm):
- International flights – EUR 70 one-way.
- Domestic flights – EUR 30 one-way.
