What is the carry-on allowance on Caribbean Airlines flights?
On all Caribbean Airlines flights, the carry-on allowance is:
1 carry-on piece up to 10 kg / 22 lbs (maximum weight) and 114 cm /45 in (maximum linear dimensions) | PLUS | 1 personal item, such as a purse, briefcase, laptop bag or another item of similar size, up to 91 cm / 36 in (maximum linear dimensions) |
If you present yourself at the boarding gate with an extra, heavy, or oversized piece of carry-on baggage, it will be tagged and placed in the baggage hold of the aircraft. Caribbean Airlines will charge the following carry-on bag fees for extra, heavy, and oversized carry-on bags:
- Extra carry-on bag – USD 100 / CAD 120.
- Heavy carry-on bag (11-23 kg / 23-50 lbs) – USD 50 / CAD 60.
- Oversized carry-on bag (over 114 cm /45 in) – USD 50 / CAD 60.
Bags heavier than 23 kg (50 lbs) will not be accepted at the boarding gate. Mobility aids may be taken into the cabin subject to space availability or checked in as a free item.
What is the checked baggage allowance on Caribbean Airlines flights?
The checked baggage allowance is the baggage you are allowed to check in free of charge. On Caribbean Airlines flights the checked baggage allowance is:

On domestic flights within Trinidad and Tobago, only Economy Class is available, and the checked baggage allowance is 1 piece up to 23 kg / 50 lbs and 157 cm / 62 inches.
Boxes may form part of the free baggage allowance, but must meet the size and weight limitations.
Excess Baggage
On all routes, each passenger is allowed maximum 4 pieces of checked baggage, and excess baggage is accepted subject to space availability.
For excess baggage, Caribbean Airlines charges the following fees:

For excess baggage on domestic flights within Trinidad and Tobago, Caribbean Airlines charges TTD 3.00 per kg. An oversized piece will be charged USD 75.
On flights between Grenada and North America (the US or Canada), excess baggage (boxes and extra/overweight/oversized pieces) is not accepted during the baggage embargo periods: 1 June – 30 September, 1 December – 31 December, and 1 January – 31 January.
Sporting Equipment
The following types of sporting equipment may form part of your free baggage allowance provided that no item exceeds the maximum weight of 23 kg (50 lbs) and maximum dimensions (H+W+L) of 157 cm (62 inches): archery, bicycle, boogie board, cricket, field/ice hockey, fishing, golf, lacrosse, scuba diving, and snow/water skiing. Oversized and overweight sporting equipment is accepted as excess baggage on a standby basis and upon payment of the applicable excess baggage fees.
Due to the large size and handling complexities, the following sporting equipment is not accepted as baggage on Caribbean Airlines flights: hang gliding, javelin, kayak/canoe, pole vault, windsurfing boards, and sail boards.
