On domestic routes, the fee for Overweight Baggage is calculated per kilogram as 1.5% of the price of a one-way adult direct flight ticket for the route on that day in Economy Class.

Checked Baggage Requirements
Before proceeding to the airport, make sure that you meet some minimum requirements concerning your luggage, or else China Eastern Airlines might refuse the carriage.
Briefly, you need to check that your baggage is firmly bound, locked and well packed, and, most important of all, is able to sustain certain pressure (remember your luggage will be loaded, unloaded, manipulated several times, and that other luggage may come on top of it during the flight).
China Eastern Airlines brings to your attention the fact that they will not be held responsible for the (partial or total) damage or loss of your baggage. Consequently, they advise not to store in the checked baggage important documents, money, certain valuables or fragile objects, since they can’t guarantee their safety.
Baggage Services
China Eastern Airlines is trying to stick to a strict timetable when talking about baggage delivery. In 95% of the cases (upon domestic and regional flight arrival), they will effectively deliver the first baggage within 15 minutes after opening the cabin door. The moment the plane arrives at the apron, you should rest assured that the unloading process will start no later than 20 minutes after the opening of the cabin door. The entire luggage delivery sequence should not take more than 45 minutes.
If your baggage is damaged, delayed or lost, you must report to the Baggage Service Counter, and China Eastern Airlines will keep you up to date about the status of your luggage. For this type of service to go well, you must take care of writing down, before checking in, all your contact information on the registered baggage, so they could track you down based on these identification details.
