What is China Eastern Airlines’ policy on pet acceptance?
China Eastern allows pets on board, but there are some specific regulations that apply to them. Live animals, regardless of their description, are not applicable to interline through check.
Fighting dogs will not be accepted for transportation under any circumstances, for safety reasons, as they may come in conflict with the other animals carried on board.
What pets are allowed in the passenger cabin and what as checked baggage?
No live animals are permitted in the passenger cabin, except for Service Dogs. Consequently, all pets, small dogs, cats and birds, will have to be checked as baggage.
What responsibilities do I have?
In order to ensure a safe and easy entrance into the country / territory of destination, make sure that you pet has all the relevant documentation required.
China Eastern Airlines will not be held responsible if your pet will be denied entrance or passage through or into any country/territory. Furthermore, the owner is the sole responsible in the event of sickness, injury or death of the animal.
Carry-on Pets
Only Service Dogs are permitted in the passenger cabin, no other animals being allowed whatsoever.
Checked Pets
All checked animals will be considered excess baggage and will be treated accordingly from the charging point of view. The total weight of the pet and its container will determine the fee that should be paid, at excess baggage rates, of course.

Service Animals
