Corendon Airlines Baggage and Carry-on

What is the hand baggage allowance on Corendon Airlines flights?

Corendon Airlines allows its passengers to bring one piece of hand baggage in the cabin as long as it weighs no more than 7 kg, and its dimensions do not exceed 55 x 35 x 25 cm.

What is the checked baggage allowance?

Passengers traveling on flights to/from Germany are entitled to a free baggage allowance depending on the fare purchased:

  • Eco fare – no free baggage allowance.
  • Flex fare – 20 kg.
  • Premium fare – 30 kg.

Passengers traveling on flights to/from the Netherlands and Belgium must pay for their checked baggage (no free baggage allowance). You are allowed to buy up to 80 kg of checked baggage on flights to/from the Netherlands and up to 40 kg on flights to/from Belgium. You are allowed to check in 3 pieces of checked baggage, and one piece of checked baggage must not exceed the maximum weight of 32 kg.

If you book your flight through a tour operator, different rules and regulations regarding checked baggage may apply.

Hand Baggage

In addition to the hand baggage allowance, you are allowed to take into the cabin only the following items:

  • Corendon Airlines: lady’s handbag or pocketbook, reading material for the flight, overcoat, blanket, or wrap, umbrella or walking stick, small camera and/or binoculars, infant’s carrying basket.
  • Corendon Dutch Airlines: one coat, one umbrella or walking cane, one plastic bag (sealed bag) with duty-free items, baby items to be used during the flight. Please note that everything else should fit into one piece of hand baggage (this includes laptops, handbags, photo cameras, etc.).

The hand baggage is checked for weight and dimensions by Corendon Airlines check-in staff who will provide a label indicating that your hand baggage has been approved for carriage in the cabin. Corendon Airlines also performs tests at the gate where a fine of €75 per piece will be applied if your hand baggage exceeds the maximum weight and/or dimensions. Please take this into consideration when you use the Online Check-in service.

Checked Baggage Fees & Sporting Equipment

When you are traveling to/from the Netherlands and Belgium, you can reserve respectively maximum 80 kg and 40 kg of checked baggage per person in advance, from 6 weeks up to respectively maximum 5 hours and 10 hours, before departure, at fly.corendon.com.

**If you purchased 20 kg of baggage in advance and bring 27 kg at the airport, the fee is: (30 kg airport rate – 20 kg online rate) + airport fee = (€30 – €17) + €15 = €28.

When you are traveling to/from Germany, you do not need to reserve checked baggage if you are entitled to a free baggage allowance. You can buy extra baggage at fly.corendon.com from 45 days before departure. For excess baggage (over the free baggage allowance or purchased extra baggage), you will be charged €7 per kg at the airport.

Sporting Equipment

Corendon (Dutch) Airlines recommends that all sporting equipment is pre-booked and pre-paid via the Reservation Centre.

When you travel with Corendon (Dutch) Airlines to/from the Netherlands and plan on carrying sporting equipment, the baggage fee will be based on the total of kilos you check in (baggage plus sporting equipment). For example, if you have one piece of baggage of 15 kg and one bicycle of 15 kg, the baggage weight and the weight of the bicycle are added together, and you must purchase 30 kg of baggage.

When you travel with Corendon (Dutch) Airlines to/from Belgium and Germany and plan on carrying sporting equipment, the following rates are applicable per one-way:
