When traveling on an Egyptair flight, two options are available for passengers to check in before arriving at the airport:
- Web Check-in.
- Mobile Check-in.
When must I check in at the airport for my Egyptair flight?
For Egyptair flights, the time for check-in and the check-in deadline depends on the route:
- For international flights:
- Time for check-in – 3 hours before scheduled time of departure.
- Check-in deadline – 1 hour before scheduled time of departure.
- For domestic flights:
- Time for check-in – 2 hours before scheduled time of departure.
- Check-in deadline – 30 minutes before scheduled time of departure.
Boarding gates for all Egyptair flights close 30 minutes before flight departure.
Web Check-in
Egyptair Web Check-in service gives passengers holding electronic tickets with confirmed reservations the possibility to check in online before arriving at the airport. Web Check-In is accessible from 48 hours before departure, and up until 90 minutes before the flight’s scheduled departure time. Special requirements for passengers using Web Check-in apply when the flight departs from the following cities:

Egyptair Web Check-in is not currently available at all airports. At the moment, passengers do not have the option of checking in online in advance for departures from Erbil (EBL), Baghdad (BGW), Juba (JUB).
Passengers carrying approved cabin baggage only can proceed directly to the boarding gate. Passengers should arrive at the airport for security checks and boarding no later than 45 minutes prior to the flight’s departure.
Passengers with checked baggage will have to present the bags at the special Egyptair Baggage Drop-off Points or Web & Mobile Check-in Counters well in advance of the boarding time (at least one hour prior to departure time).
Mobile Check-in
Passengers using this check-in option will receive the Electronic Boarding Pass directly on the mobile device. Mobile Check-in is accessible from 48 hours before departure, and up to 90 minutes before the flight’s scheduled departure time via the mobile website or Egyptair Mobile App for Android, iPhone/iPad, Windows 8, and Blackberry.
Currently, Mobile Check-in is open to all passengers holding electronic tickets with confirmed reservations on flights departing from Cairo Airport to all domestic destinations (within Egypt) only. At the airport, passengers holding an Electronic Boarding Pass may proceed directly to security checks or at the special Egyptair ‘Baggage drop’ dedicated counters, depending on whether they have baggage to check in or not.
