Infants are permitted to travel on flydubai flights 7 days after birth.
Does flydubai offer any discounts for infants and children?
Infant discounts apply depending on the travel class. The infant fare for an infant without a separate seat is:
- Economy Class – AED 85 per sector plus taxes.
- Business Class – 10% of the adult fare.
There are no discounts for children aged 2 to 11 years (for the whole duration of the journey), but there might be some differences in taxes for children.
Infants
Infants up to two years share the parent’s seat. If the infant turns 2 years of age during travel, an additional seat must be purchased for that infant.
An adult may travel with a maximum of 2 infants, but one infant must be aged at least 6 months and seated in an approved car seat (label stating that it has been approved for aviation use and labeling describing the operating instructions). Because the car seat must be secured to an aircraft seat, a separate seat must be purchased for the car seat.
Passengers traveling with an infant without a seat may carry 5 kg of hand baggage smaller than 55 cm x 38 cm x 20 cm, in addition to their hand baggage allowance. Folding/collapsible pushchairs and strollers may be accepted for carriage in the cabin provided that they meet the size and weight restrictions for hand baggage and space is available.
If checked baggage is included in your fare, you can also take 10 kg of checked baggage for your infant.
About children’s leg rest devices and ride-on suitcases, you should know travel accessories not certified by the UAE’s General Civil Aviation Authority are not permitted on board flydubai flights. This includes, but is not limited to, Bedbox, FLY-Tot, Fly LegsUp, and inflatable cubes.
