Does Gulf Air offer Unaccompanied Minor Service?
On request, Gulf Air provides the Unaccompanied Minor Service for children between the ages of 5 and 11 years old traveling without an escort. Children between 5 and 11 years old can travel alone on any Gulf Air flight but must be booked in advance as an Unaccompanied Minor (UM).
What arrangements are required for the Unaccompanied Minor Service?
To be accepted as an Unaccompanied Minor on a Gulf Air flight, a full adult fare ticket (excluding any child discounts, promotional fares, and special offers) must be purchased for the child. If the Unaccompanied Minor requires special care (the child is ill or mentally/physically impaired), Gulf Air staff must be notified of his/her condition during booking in order for the necessary arrangements to be made.
Children traveling as Unaccompanied Minors should be accompanied to the Gulf Air check-in desk at the airport of departure with all necessary travel documents. For each child traveling alone, Gulf Air requires an Unaccompanied Minors Declaration form (in four copies) that you must complete and hand over to Gulf Air staff along with your child at the time of check-in. You must ensure your child is met in the arrival hall of any transfer point, or at the final destination.
