Founded in 1946, as Hungarian-Soviet Civil Air Transport Joint Stock Company, Budapest-based Malev Hungarian Airlines is the flag carrier of Hungary, operating a fleet of 25 aircraft and serving 50 destinations in 34 countries.
Malev Hungarian Airlines operates a fleet consisting of the following 25 aircraft:
- 5 Boeing 737-800 NG
- 7 Boeing 737-700 NG
- 6 Boeing 737-600 NG
- 3 Fokker 70 (to be phased out by mid-2010)
- 4 Bombardier Q400
At the end of 2009, the airline had 19 pending orders - 15 Sukhoi Superjet 100s (deliveries between 2011 and 2016), and 4 Bombardier Q400s (to arrive in 2012).
