How can I check in for my Philippine Airlines flight?

Philippine Airlines offers its passengers several options and special services to check in for their flight:

• Online Check-in.
• Airport Check-in – Early Check-in and Express Counter.

What deadlines should be taken into consideration at the airport?

At Philippine Airlines counters, passengers check-in no later than 45 minutes before the flight departure. Passengers are recommended to check in:

• For domestic flights – 2 hours before the scheduled departure time.
• For international flights – 3 hours before the scheduled departure time.

When they have already checked in online (Online Check-in), passengers must proceed at the airport as follows:

• For domestic flights:
  • With checked baggage – to the Web Check-in Counter no later than 45 minutes before the flight departure for documents verification and acceptance of baggage. Passengers who purchased their ticket online may be required to present the credit/debit card used for the purchase.
  • With hand baggage only – to the boarding gate before the boarding deadline.

• For international flights:
  • All passengers, with or without checked baggage – to the Web Check-in Counter for documents verification and acceptance of baggage:
    • 60 minutes before departure – flights from Bangkok, Dammam, Doha, Dubai, Jeddah, Kuala Lumpur, Kuwait, London, New York, Riyadh, Shanghai (Pudong), Toronto and Vancouver.
    • 45 minutes before departure – all other flights.

Online Check-in

Online Check-in for Philippine Airlines flights is available between 24 hours and 1 hour before departure time for:

• Domestic flights, including PAL Express (2P) flights.
• International flights, except flights from Chengdu, Jinjiang, Xiamen and between Tagbilaran and Incheon.

All passengers holding confirmed booking and valid e-ticket may use Online Check-in, with the following exceptions:

• Passengers who need medical/special assistance.
• Unaccompanied Minors.
• Groups of 16 or more passengers under one booking.

Online Check-in for the return or connecting flight is available as long as the flight is within 24 hours. When you check in for your flight online, your specific seat reservation/request will be pre-selected. Passengers who have prior arrangement for bulkhead and exit row seats may avail of their reserved seats. Other passengers may choose regular seat and request for reseating at the Online Check-in Counter at the airport. Seats can be changed even after the boarding pass has been printed, but the boarding pass reflecting the new seat assignment must be reprinted.

Early Check-in

At the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Centennial Terminal 2, Philippine Airlines’ check-in counters are open as early as 1:30 a.m. for domestic flights, 4:00 a.m. for international flights, so that passengers may check in the same day ahead of their scheduled departure time.

Express Counter

At Manila NAIA Terminal 2 and Mactan Airports, Senior Citizens with up to 2 travelling companions and passengers with no checked baggage may use the Express Check-in counters, situated nearest the entrance of the airport terminal building, to check-in for their international or domestic flight.
