So narrow! I paid extra for the leg room for my husband (46A) but because the trays come out of the arm rest they eat away at the seat. Any my 2x husband’s tray didn’t have room to open all the way

this seat is terrible ( 44F is also terrible), it is just direct to the toilet, your shoulder will be hit by the bum of passenger every time when passenger want to enter toilet, it is too close to toilet and should not have this seat for sales. Also, if you are traveling alone, then you are not able to select any seat unless pay for this. Never try to fly with Qantas if there is other flight available.

First time in First Class on the A380-8 airbus in seat 1A front left, classified as a window seat. The flight was overnight so sleeping was the aim - the crew very diligently prepare the bed by adding a mattress to the already comfy seat. The seat swivels from from front on to facing the corner to allow full flat bed extension. There's a dedicated overhead locker, and barely sufficient storage spaces for personal items. Entertainment is via a large screen but the range of options is not very exciting. Noise cancelling headphones are provided and very welcome. The screen is operated by the usual hand held cabled remote - feels clunky. 1A is close to the toilet, separated by a curtain and there's sufficient walled areas around the seat to provide the occupier privacy, tucked into the corner. Slippers and pyjamas are provided along with an amenity kit featuring Lagaia Unedited products. And almost before being seated the crew arrive with champagne and canapes. Food is good, Neil Perry curated, and served restaurant style. Crew are pleasant and obliging, nothing is too much trouble. A most enjoyable flight.

The seats are exit row, there was a lot of leg room. But nowhere to stow anything you might need for the flight. The seat itself felt cramped, and difficult to get your tray out of the arm.
As i had a special meal, and received this before others. i had o have the try sit on my table all through service. no room to even continue watching in flight movies etc.

This seat sucked. The headphone jack didn't work at all, so was unable to use the inflight entertainment, lucky for me the other two seats in this row were empty so i could switch seats, BUT all the arm rests were broken/wobbly and 77J's screen was not responsive at all to touch so ended up in the aisle seat where the arm rests were loose, shaky and don't stay up (they fall straight back down whenever you moved them) but at least i could watch TV. The distance of the seat to the food prep area wasn't annoying though. But this whole row of seats needs some attention.

Thus journey was made enjoyable because of the sheer comfort the seat offered. A light sponge pillow added extra comfort.

40D was an excellent seat. Plenty of leg room and good recline of seat. I have had 46D but too close to toilets, so row 40 is by far best row, much quieter. Worth the extra money.

Payed for exit row. But the seat is very tight for shoulder room. Spent most of the 17 hour flight twisted on an angle, to avoid rubbing shoulders with the passenger in the middle. It was more difficult than expected to get in and out of the seat, because of the cramped room to your right. I had to hold the exit door handle and lower myself in! Great for tall, skinny people. The rest of us, not so much
