What is the hand baggage allowance on Rossiya Airlines flights?

Aeroflot baggage policy is applied on Rossiya Airlines flights operated on behalf of Aeroflot  (FV 6001-6999).

The hand baggage allowance on Rossiya Airlines flights (FV 5501-5949) is:

• Economy – 1 piece up to 5 kg and 55 х 40 х 25 cm.
• Business – 1 piece up to 10 kg and 55 х 40 х 25 cm.

Free of charge and not included in the hand baggage allowance, the following items may be carried in the passenger cabin: handbag, briefcase, backpack (up to 5 kg and 80 cm as the sum of three dimensions), suit holdall, outerwear, baby food, baby cradle, restraint systems (devices) for children up to two years, a folding baby stroller (not exceeding 50 х 42 х 20 cm), bouquet of flowers, crutches, canes, one sealed bag with duty-free purchases not exceeding 115 cm as the sum of three dimensions.

What is the checked baggage allowance on Rossiya Airlines flights?

Aeroflot baggage policy is applied on Rossiya Airlines flights operated on behalf of Aeroflot  (FV 6001-6999).

For Rossiya Airlines flights (FV 5501-5949), the following baggage rules apply:

• The Weight Concept sets the free baggage allowance depending on the travel class (Business, Economy).
• The weight of the free baggage allowance should be checked with the tour operator.
• Any piece of checked baggage included in the free baggage allowance must comply with the following limits:
  • Maximum size – 203 cm, the sum of the three dimensions.
  • Maximum weight – 32 kg.

Excess Baggage

Rossiya Airlines applies the following excess baggage rates on Rossiya Airlines flights FV 5501-5949:

• Flights within Russia – 750 RUB/kg.
• International flights – 10 EUR/kg / 12 USD/kg.

Excess baggage is not included in the free baggage allowance and must be weighed and paid. Excess baggage and excess baggage fees mean:

• Extra baggage (the weight exceeds the free allowance, but no piece exceeds the maximum size and weight limits) – the rate is charged per each kilogram of extra weight.
• Heavy baggage (one piece with the weight over 32 kg but no more than 50 kg) – the rate is charged per each kilogram of the piece of the baggage regardless of weight.
• Oversized baggage (one piece with the sum of the three dimensions exceeding 203 cm) – requires prior approval of the airline.

On Rossiya Airlines flights FV 5501-5949, sports equipment can be checked in as part of the free baggage allowance. If the free baggage allowance is exceeded, as well as in the case of excess weight and/or size of the sports equipment, the following excess baggage fee will apply:

• Extra weight:
  • Flights within Russia – 750 RUB per each kilogram of extra weight.
  • International flights – 10 EUR / 12 USD per each kilogram of extra weight.
• Heavy/oversized sport equipment – requires prior approval from Rossiya Airlines:
  • Flights within Russia – 400 RUB per each kilogram of the piece of the sports equipment.
  • International flights – 6 EUR / 8 USD per each kilogram of the piece of the sports equipment.
