What is Saudia’s policy with regard to the hand baggage allowance?
Saudi Arabian Airlines allows each passenger to carry a certain amount of hand luggage according to the class of travel. All hand luggage may be placed in closed overhead rack or under the seat in front of the passenger.
What is Saudia’s policy with regard to checked baggage allowances?
On all Saudi Arabian Airlines flights, each passenger may check a certain amount of baggage. This free baggage allowance is limited in number of pieces, as well as weight and dimensions per piece, according to the travel class and/or itinerary. Saudia’s policy with regard to checked baggage also imposes that each piece must not exceed 32 kg.
Hand Baggage
As hand baggage allowance, passengers are allowed to carry into the passenger cabin the following:

Saudi Arabian Airlines also allows passengers to carry some personal belongings that are not included in the hand baggage allowance: coat or cover, small camera, women handbag or purse for normal use only, book to read during the flight, food for children to be used during the flight, an infant carrying basket, a fully collapsible baby stroller or baby seat, sticks for walking.

Sporting Equipment
Sporting equipment is accepted as part of the free checked baggage allowance if it is properly packed or inserted in special bags. If the weight and/or the dimensions exceed the standard free baggage allowance, excess baggage fees shall be collected according to Saudia’s baggage policy.
Sporting equipment exceeding the approved dimensions is accepted on board Boeing B777 and B787 aircraft. In addition to the oversized fee, Saudia will charge an extra fee for sporting equipment measuring from 205 cm (80 inches) to a maximum extent of 300 cm (118 inches):
- International flights – $67 (the total oversized fee will be $100+$67=$167).
- Domestic flights – 100 SAR (the total oversized fee will be 100+100=200 SAR).
Baggage Services
As soon as you notice at the arrival airport that your baggage was mishandled or has not arrived on the same flight, you must contact Saudi Arabian Airlines Baggage Services staff immediately and before leaving the arrival hall. If it happens that you need to travel to another destination before your baggage is traced, you may contact Baggage Services staff at that point for further handling and information that you may need.
