How can I check in for my SpiceJet flight?
With a few exceptions when passengers are required to check in at the airport check-in counter, Web Check-in is available for all passengers traveling on domestic SpiceJet flights.
For international flights, passengers can check in only at the SpiceJet check-in counters.
What check-in times must be considered for checking in at the airport?
Airport check-in counters open 2 hours prior to scheduled departure time for domestic flights and 3 hours prior to scheduled departure time in case of international travel. After the counters are closed, SpiceJet will not be able to accept any passenger. Any passenger will be treated as a “no-show” and will not be entitled to any refund when reporting for check-in after the following counter closing time:
- For domestic flights – 45 minutes prior to departure.
- For international flights – 60 minutes prior to departure (75 minutes prior to departure from Dubai and Kabul).
For domestic flights, the boarding gate closes 20 minutes prior to scheduled departure time. In the case of international flights, the boarding gate closes 25 minutes prior to scheduled departure time (exception, 45 minutes in case of Kabul). Failure to board before the boarding deadline can result in denied boarding with the fare retained.
Web Check-in
Web Check-in is available starting 48 hours before scheduled flight departure to all passengers traveling on SpiceJet domestic flights, with the following exceptions:
- Group bookings (10 passengers or above traveling together).
- Defense bookings (Indian armed force personnel).
- Student bookings (bookings made under Student Discount Scheme).
- Passengers traveling with infants.
- Unaccompanied Minors.
- Interline bookings (travel on the services of more than one carrier booked as a single fare).
For all domestic flights, except flights from Jammu, Leh and Srinagar where it is not available, Web Check-in can be completed until 2 hours before scheduled flight departure. Passengers are required to clear the Airport Security Check and report at the boarding gate at least 45 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time.
Once you have checked in online, Web Check-in has the option to reprint the boarding card if you lose it. However, if you want to cancel or modify your ticket, you can do it only by calling SpiceJet Call Center up to 2 hours prior to the scheduled departure of your flight.
