SWISS seat reviews

This is the worst experience I have ever had with any airline. Years ago I flew on Swiss Airlines and they were great. I usually fly United Airlines. United Airlines partners with Swiss Airlines. I had the unfortunate luck of being on Swiss Airlines. First, we had reserved seats 37J and 37K due to my medical condition with my shoulder. Second, we were on the Plane for close to 4 hours due to cargo issues then it was door locking issues. I did request to deboard and use a different carrier or wait for the next flight to Chicago and I was told that I would be charged a large amount of money to do so. The flight attendants were great but every time the servicing cart went up and down the aisle it bumped into my knee, shoulder, or elbow. I have bruises to prove it. I gave up after the many bumps and I had to stand for over 9 hours in the aisle during the 9 and half hours of flight. We were kept on the plane for about an hour once we landed in Chicago. We were told that Swiss Airlines started flying the smaller planes as a cost-cutting measure. This is the worst experience I have ever had. I would never fly Swiss unless I get a verification of the airplane model they are flying. I will file a complaint with Swiss Airlines the BBB and FAA. Not sure if that would do any good but no one should have to go through the unhuman experience we have experienced.

In general, the layout in this business class is mediocre. It comprises in one row 2 seats, very much like in coach. And another row with one seat like real business class. If you want to be in real business class, you will have to pay extra for the stand-alone seat.

My seat did not function correctly, I could hardly make myself comfortable nor sleep
well on an over 12 hrs flight! The staff tried to help, but somehow the seat was broken. This was the most uncomfortable flight I have ever experienced. The width of the seat is just too narrow and the air that can be adjusted for a softer seating did not function well, why not give a removable mattress like other airlines? There is not enough space for storage around the seat. When lying down you have the feeling of being in a coffin!
The service was friendly, but not too present. The food was good.
I will avoid flying with Swiss if I have other options!

The flight itself was good, the flight crew was informative, and the take-off and landing were good. Our connecting flight was delayed and this flight was held. We landed on time. On the Downside the seats were uncomfortable and I suffered back pains halfway through the flight, seating was cramped, and the cabin crew was professional and helpful but not exceptionally friendly. The food was just adequate but not excessive, but tasty the small chocolate was a novel gesture. The aircraft was well-used and somewhat tired. This was my third trip with Swiss. I could not give any more than three stars, the seats were quite narrow I am of average size I would not recommend this configuration for a large person.
Airlines such as Qatar, Emirates, and Etihad offer better service.

Swiss changed my reserved date from 07/07 to 06/07 without my knowledge. On 06/07 I was still completing my teaching assignment in Zeven, Germany and couldn't have made the change even if I had known about it. On 07/07, I went to Hannover Airport (Langenhagen) only to find NO AIRPLANE!!!!!!! Sweet deal. No service on Tuesdays. I eventually made connections to Ljubljana, but without your help. You owe me for no notification, the aggrivation that it took to find other connections to Ljubljana, the wasted time, and general frustration for yet another travel problem, not because I did something wrong, but the companies did!! While I have marked all of the entries below as a 1 Star, it didn't allow for the 0 Star that I otherwise would have used.

Swiss is a low cost airline, from the seat to the service. How do they compare to the rest? Same low quality, no differentiation, they don't even try. Think, you are going from point A to point B. Expect the lowest expectations and and you won't have any surprises.

I found some major changes at swiss. There was a lot of care for frequent travelers, this time was really bad, from the check in to the point I had to purchase an upgrade. after the return flight I will not fly Swiss anymore. The crew was excellent, as well as the food. their strategy with paying for the seats, just sad.

Both this site and seatguru get the seat map wrong regarding the arrangement of 4D/4G/5D/5G: 4G and 5D are the seats more secluded from the aisles, rather than 4D and 5G. Look at the entire rows of 4 and 5. It makes no sense for Swiss to have both 4G and 4J so close together, both right by the same aisle, while keeping 4D and 4A so far apart. The same goes for 5B and 5D, as well as 5G and 5K. The actual 4D/4G/5D/5G on the Swiss B777 are arranged by flipping the 4D+4G and 5D+5G seats. This can be readily verified by looking at various Swiss B777 business class videos, such as the one I screenshot and am attaching with this review (Disclaimer: It's not my video). The screenshot clearly shows 4G is shielded from the aisle, while 4D is exposed to the aisle.

I use twice a year and feel happy with Swiss on board service:
food is good.If you need wheelchair then there is probllem. You have to wait and if lucky you have good assistent. They have bad
staff in this service, i believe it is airport service.
