When must I check in for my Thai Airways flight?

Options

During Internet Check-in, passengers are given the option to:

  • Add passengers for check-in. Multi-passenger check-in is available for passengers, including infants, in the same or different booking code.
  • Edit your Royal Orchid Plus or Frequent Flyer Number. You can do this by clicking the “Update Frequent Flyer” button, typing the correct number, and clicking the “Confirm” button.
  • View seat plans and change your seat. You can do this by clicking the option “Change Seats”. Besides, you can change the seat that was originally selected for you on connecting THAI flights. In addition, if your return flight is under the same code, within 24 hours, you will also be checked in automatically.
  • Provide the necessary regulatory information. For all international flights, the necessary regulatory information required by the destination country must be provided. If you do not have this information ready, you will need to see an agent at the check-in counter and will not be able to print a boarding pass.
  • Get your boarding pass. There are three options to obtain a boarding pass:
    • Home Print Boarding Pass – print boarding pass on A4-sized paper.
    • Mobile Boarding Pass or Passbook Boarding Pass – received by e-mail.
    • Receive the Boarding Pass by e-mail – save and print later.

Mobile Check-in

With this service, you can check in for your Thai flight using your mobile. You can choose this check-in option for both, international and domestic flights. Only electronic tickets can be used.

Options

With the Mobile Check-in option, you are allowed to:

  • Do the check-in for you and other passengers – multi-passenger check-in, from the same or different booking reference, traveling on the same flight.
  • View a seat map and change your seat.
  • Provide the necessary regulatory information. For all international flights, the necessary regulatory information required by the destination country must be provided. If you do not have this information ready, you will need to see an agent at the check-in counter and will not be able to print a boarding pass.
  • Receive the boarding pass through one of three options:
    • By e-mail – Home Print Boarding Pass or Mobile Boarding Pass (only selected destination) are delivered by e-mail. You can opt to click on the link and save the Mobile Boarding Pass or print the attached PDF document (Home Print Boarding Pass).
    • Add to Passbook – passengers using iPhones or iPods with iOS 6 can save the boarding pass directly in Passbook format.
    • At the airport – you can choose to obtain the boarding pass at the airport.

When you travel out of Bangkok to all destinations, you are allowed either to print the boarding pass at home (Home Print Boarding Pass) or receive a Mobile Boarding Pass or Passbook Boarding Pass only if you hold and enter the proper travel document required to that destination during check-in.

When departing from airports outside Thailand, where the Advance Passenger Information is not required, you are allowed to print a Home Print Boarding Pass on A4 sized paper.
