What is the hand baggage allowance on Xtra Airways flights?
Passengers may carry on without charge one bag up to 40 lbs and 45 inches (115 cm – total linear dimensions) that can be stowed in an overhead compartment or under a passenger seat.
What is the checked baggage allowance on Xtra Airways flights?
According to Xtra Airways’ baggage policy, each ticketed passenger is entitled to transport as checked baggage free of charge one bag up to 50 lbs and 62 inches (total linear dimensions – length plus width plus height).
However, when the flight is included in a vacation package, the first checked bag weighing up to 44 lbs may be free of charge, or may cost you $25 per flight at the time of airport check-in. Please check with your tour operator or local travel agency for more information on free baggage allowance and options of purchasing baggage prior to arrival at the airport.
Excess Baggage and Special Items
An extra charge of $50 applies for excess baggage: additional bags, overweight (over 50 lbs) and/or oversized (over 62 inches in total linear dimensions). The charge applies for each exceeded limit (number, weight, size). Special items such as surfboards, bicycles, etc., if permitted, are also subject to an extra charge. Xtra Airways will accept up to 7 pieces of baggage per passenger, and only pieces up to 100 lbs or 80 inches in total linear dimensions.
When the flight is included in a vacation package, usually the second checked bag is allowed on a space-available basis only, for an extra charge of $50 one way payable at the airport. Overweight/oversized bags may incur a $250 fee per bag. An extra charge of $100 one way applies to golf clubs.
