Having read the reviews about the new lay flat sleeper seats on the Delta 777LR route from Tokya/Narrita/Japan direct to Atlanta, I was concerned about how I would fit/my comfort. I am over 6'3" and a large person nearing 300lbs. The tickets were already booked, so I decided I would take the chance and get on the flight. I can say that I had no problems "fitting" into the seat and had no problems sitting, resting or sleeping comfortably with just a little try and see how it feels positioning of my body. Could the seats have been better? absolutely they could have been, Delta (like most U.S. Airlines) are far behind in the game of seating when compared to other airlines, especially the Asian airlines, however the seat posed no problems for a me personally, so I can only speculate that anyone shorter or skinnier will just have that much more room in the seat. As for the seats privacy, my seat was one of the single ones on one of the sides of the plane. For persons traveling alone/single, these seemed to be the best option, however the layout of the seats will not provide a traveling couple much interaction ability. Misc notes: I thought that the tv screen was positioned in an odd fashion, it was not able to be angled/positioned to be brought forward towards you while in the laying down or very reclined position and at times made for some odd viewing angles. The screen imo was a bit small and Delta should have sprung for some larger screens. The footrest could have been wider/larger, which would be nice to have had a larger area for my feet to have rested and could have doubled as a sitting area for a traveling companion (if you had one) to sit and talk with. Bottom line (imo): If you are expecting an Asian airline type of seat, then you will certainly be disappointed, Delta seats for the 777-200LR (imo) rate a 2.5 in a scale of 0-5, with 5 being the best. In comparison, Singapore airlines, all business class A340-500 plane, I would rate as a 4.5, with far superior markings on all of the seat comfort ratings. The new lay-flat beds are a step in the right direction for Delta and they are certainly an upgrade from the angle reclined seats Delta/NWA had (and still does use on such aircraft as the 747-400), but more research (including some real fliers who would use the seats) should have been done by Delta before acquisition and installation of these seats were done in their planes.

We were seated in seats 44D & 44E, LAX to NAR. The seats were quite comfortable since row 44 is right before the bulkhead so nobody sits behind you. Also the frame of the seats are aligned so you do not share the foot space with the passenger beside you (unlike the B747-400). Downsides - (1) seats 44D & E are too near the toilets, during sleeping time, you get the glare from the lights each time the toilet doors open and (2) the overhead luggage bin in the center rows cannot take the wheeled cabin luggage.

The Business Elite class in Delta's B777's, is, in my opinion, a pure copy of Air Canada's Business/First class in this same model. Focusing on the seat, the way they are arranged allows the passenger to have more privacy and more personal space than in other airlines. It also allows the seats to convert into a fully-flat bed. They are almost like suites!

These seats are really exquisite. As an extremely frequent Delta flyer, I have to say that these seats are the best of the "old-style" recliners fitted into business elite. Although the pitch and recline are the same as on the rest of the old style recliners fitted on the 767's, these seats have about 2.5 inches more width which really does make a difference on a 10 hour flight. However, the service was very good and the entertainment and seats very comfortable.

Delta is one of the few planes that still gives you 31 inches of leg room so this is good if you are average height (I'm 5'10" & 170lbs). The window seat at 39A is a real window seat unlike seats 35 & 36 which are not really window seats because they have some sort of partition/wall that is right there. Besides that it is not so bad. You right on top of the wing behind the engines.

Delta's new seats. Covered with leather and with a totally new entertainment system, these seats are part of a big change in Delta. Delta is not only changing its seats, but also its image and it is becoming a more ecological airline. Service is great. Congratulations Delta!!!

We enjoy flying Delta Airline. With my husbands health condition, they allow us to board early so he can get situated and get his mask on. Prior to doing this, he ended up getting sick and spending 80% of our cruise in the hospital area of the ship. He has not gotten sick when he wears his mask.

We booked the flight from DTW to AMS with the 747 but that flight was canceled, Delta had a new 777 in the hangar. They picked them up and so we flow the 777. This is my favorite aircraft. We had a SUPER flight and in the economy class was enough space to sleep!

Economy Seat assigned by TA for Viking advertised ‘free airfare.’ I understand Viking books a certain number of seats for this offer. Obviously, seat not comfortable with very little recline. I’m short and had middle seat. Just ok. No USB port for devices. TV had enough options for sleepless night.

Usually some big American passengers bump and wakes me up. However, this time many flight attendants kicked my feet and woke me up.
