There are 10 A330-200s in the Eva Air fleet. This plane has a total seating capacity of 252 passengers in a two-class layout. This plane cruises at a speed of mach 0.82, at an altitude of 41100ft.
With the delivery of the A330-200s in 2003 and the B777s in 2005, Eva Air launched its Premium Laurel Class, a superbly comfortable, technologically advanced top class, and at the same time, unveiled Audio/Video on Demand (AVOD) systems in all of their cabins.
The Premium Laurel Class cabin is equipped with advanced electronically controlled, fully reclining seats and passengers can bask in luxury and indulge in their own private space. The seats have electrical lumbar support with individual controls and even have a footlight to help you find things under your seat! The 10.4” LCD touch screen comes with noise-cancelling headphones and provides films, music and video games. There is a 110VAC standard US power point at each seat and a satellite phone too.
Every seat on EVA Air’s new Airbus A330-200 aircraft is served by Matsushita Avionics Systems Corp.’s interactive IFE System 3000i.
With audio/video on demand (AVOD), passengers can select movies and music with their remote controller through a menu system. There are 14 movies, 18 TV programs, more than 500 pieces of music and five video games, with plans to extend this range still further.
Each Premium Laurel Class Cabin seat is equipped with a 10.4” screen and noise-cancelling headphones while each economy-class seat has a 6.5” screen and stereo headset.
