General presentation

As of November 2010, Air Canada’s fleet operated 37 Airbus A319 aircrafts, with no additional ones expected to arrive in the near future. Aircrafts with a total seating capacity of 120 passengers are in a two-class layout, while those with a total seating capacity of 132 are in a single-class layout.
With a length of 33.84 m and a wingspan of about 34 m, the Airbus A319-100 is capable of a cruising speed of 828 km/h/511 mph at 11,000 m/36,000 ft. Its maximum range depends on configuration, ranging from 6,700 km/4,100 mi for the standard version to 12,000 km/7,500 mi, for the A319CJ. Its service ceiling 12,000 m/39,000 ft, and maximum speed 871 km/h/537 mph at 11,000 m/36,000 ft.
Power ports are available although an adaptor may be needed. There are 10 audio channels with complimentary headsets as well as main screen videos which offer feature films on flights over 3 hours and short features on flight over 1.5 hours. Airphones accepting all major credit cards are in the bank of every seat (hospitality) or within arms reach (executive) and are equipped for in-coming and out-going calls. Executive class passengers have adjustable headrests, cushions and footrests, lumbar support and leg rest extensions as well as recline and massage facilities.
Snacks and a selection of beverages are offered on flights between 90 minutes and 2 hours, and also in flights departing after 10 pm. A fresh selection of meal items is available on flights of 2 hours or more, but not on flights departing after 10 pm.

I tried to buy an upgrade to business in Caracas but was told that I would have to pay $300 cash. $300? IN Caracas? It's faster just to put a bullet in your head than carry that much money around this city! I did finally manage to get into 16C which has the advantage of having extra legroom. The downside is that the seat does not recline, which is a pain in the backside on an overnight flight. Out of Pearson, however, I was able to buy an upgrade for $275 and enjoyed more space and recline. It's a shame that AC uses a 319 on this 5 hour route. It's the only routing in South America that doesn't get a 767, and the overnight flight would be so much more comfortable in a pod!

These are indicated as bulkhead seats in the preferred section. They are awful. Leg room and seat width is less than other perferred seat rows 13-15. This is because row 12 is close to the last row of business seats, separated by a curtain. The TV for the middle seat is in the arm rest...and all seats in row 12 have the tray in the armrests. Making them narrower, and the middle seat is the worst. We moved to row 14, also perferred seating, which had way more leg room and the seats were wider. I immediately changed my perferred seats on my return trip. These 12C 12B bulkhead seats are not worth paying extra for. Very misleading to say they are perferred bulk head. And very uncomfortable.

To my opinion, this is the best safety video of all. Take a look, and you will understand me.

first time i've flown with air Canada for 20 years. The steward and stewardess on the flight to Vegas seemed to be hung over as the attitude they were giving out. At least on west jet they supply you with entertainment at NO cost. I really felt i was a burden to these people. It looks like west jet will be getting my business back.

Seat 23A. got the new AC A319 Extreme Make Over, coming back from holidays in Italy, I flew from Toronto to Mexico City and it was great, IFE nice and new seats and decoration.
But they made us pay for dinner, and on the MEX-YYZ flight we had an old A319 but with free brakfast...
The pic is our FREE breakfast.

Flight changed to Rouge 319 M.
The seat is not a seat that should have a premium charge. It has no personal entertainment center. Is narrower and tight with passengers on either side impinging on to the seat. The seat itself is uncomfortable and becomes more so toward the end of a two plus hour flight.

This aircraft should not be used to do long flights like we did .I been flying for over 50 yrs and never expérience seats so tight that I felt a bit claustrophobic.
The airCanada president should go for a 5.5 hour flight in a Airbus 319 he would definitely make changes

Terrible legroom for regular seats. Chart says 32 but it seems way smaller. Worst legroom compared to all the other Air Canada planes I have been on.
Plane is dated and normally this helps with legroom but not here.
It may be an old Rouge plane used for regular full price flight.
No power.

My favourite seat on the A319. Loads of extra legroom, although if you are shorter you will have trouble accessing the AVOD screen mounted on the bulkhead. Comfortable quilts offered for the overnight flight, although this route has mercifully been changed to a daytime flight.
