General presentation
As of December 2010, the Air France’s fleet operated 14 Airbus A 340-300 aircrafts, with no additional ones expected to arrive in the near future.
With a length of 63.69 m (208 ft 11 in) and a wingspan 60.3 m (197 ft10 in), the Airbus A340-300 is capable of a cruising speed of 871 km/h/537 mph at 11,000 m/36,000 ft. Its maximum range is 10,830 km/6,730 mi, its service ceiling 41,100 ft (12,527 m), and maximum speed 913 km/h/563 mph at 11,000 m/36,000 ft.
This aircraft belongs to the Airbus A340 family. The company operates with four different seating arrangements. This layout with has 30 seats in Business Class, 21 in the Premium Voyageur Class and 224 in Economy Class and operates regular, international destinations.
With this long-haul aircraft, introduced in 2001, Air France revolutionized air travel in Tempo cabin class by giving passengers an unrivaled level of comfort thanks to new ergonomic seating with individual in-seat video, large screens as well as hi-fi stereo headphones for music and videos
Business (Première) class passengers have noise-reducing headsets, a 10.4” interactive video screen featuring a selection of films and news broadcasts, a power outlet and individual telephone. The lie flat seats have a massage function and optical fibre reading lamp. Seats recline up to 131º. There are individual screens for Economy class passengers. Some people complain about noise from the economy section. On some destinations, Tempo classes offer outlets for your laptop computer.
Appropriate food (including breakfast, snack, lunch or dinner) and drink (non-alcoholic and alcoholic) are offered.
A moveable curtain in the cabin separates the different classes. Premium Affaires refers to a short-haul business class product, with the middle seat turned into a table for extra space. Premium Eco is just Economy (Voyageur) class with an enhanced meal. You will travel at the Voyageur (Economy) class on the same seat as Premium Eco but with a simplified meal service.

Corroboro lo que dice Justin T más arriba: Las cabinas de esos airbus A340 que cubren la ruta París-Bogotá-París son de lo más paupérrimo que tiene Air France, una aerolínea que, desde hace años, no se digna introducir la más pequeña reforma en estos aviones. Para un vuelo de 11 horas, significa una tortura para el pobre pasajero el estar atrapado en estos espacios exiguos. Atención a la trombosis venosa de las piernas para el que se quede sentado todo el tiempo, sobre todo si es una persona de 1.75 m. o más pues las rodillas quedan tocando el asiento de adelante. Por otro lado, las pantallitas video dan grima: ahí no se puede ver casi nada de lo pequeñas que son y de la mala definición que tienen. Definitivamente, Air France ha dejado estos vejestorios para lo que ellos deben considerar los paisitos del Tercer Mundo. Deben permitírselo así porque tiene el monopolio de esta ruta. | |||||||

Mediocre service and entertainment options from an 80 year young airline with experience in existence, not in customer service. Not to be tried again by any means. For sleeping, the seat cushion is quite comfortable and actually has recline on the last row to my surprise, and to their credit. AF uses aged planes to third world with crappy service with the mindset that they (destinations in third world countries) don't deserve any better than developing countries or don't care much about these things. Very poor and "conquistador" attitude as if it were still a colonial power. Last light meal before landing was quite yummy. I gave it a two, otherwise it would only get one star. | |||||||

Premium Economy on Air France is the worst flying experience I've ever had. The seat was horrible, didn't recline, had a very poor leg rest, and the worst service I've had. Service didn't really exist. I paid £28 extra for an upgraded meal that was basically inedible. Sadly, I have to face this experience again next month. I'll never fly Air France again. | |||||||

El espacio para las piernas es realmente insuficiente, y yo mido solo 1,74 m. El pasajero que se sentaba a mi lado tuvo que levantarse varias veces a caminar y se veia que lo estaba pasando realmente mal. Yo me aguanté, pero es lamentable que para un vuelo de 7 h te maltraten así. Si puedo, no repito con Air France. Saludos | |||||||

We travelled from Paris to St Maarten for a sailing regatta and found the upgrade this year from economy last year to premier economy this year a big difference. The leg room and the total space upgrade was a welcome feature of premier economy. I recommend it ! | |||||||

My seat was better than most I have experienced recently in the economy section. However, my video was so light (no contrast in comparison to others I saw) I couldn't make out what was on it. They ran out of the chicken meal before getting to me. | |||||||

Booked flight July 2015. Flt May 2016. Upon checking in after I had seats 34 JK they changed me to 48 AB, thanx. Did not want last row so paid more for 25 JK. Seat was like sitting on sheet of plywood. | |||||||

Best service I have ever received. Most attentive attendants to all my needs. Food was exceptional and plentiful. Cannot praise this staff enough. Thank You Air France. Did not feel that I was in a plane, more like my home. | |||||||
