General presentation
The A330-200 has one of the quietest cabins in the Emirates fleet. It has a total seating capacity of 237-278 passengers in a two or three class layout. It is used on medium to long-haul routes.
First Class seats are pitched 1.8 meters (72 inches) apart, with a seat recline of 36 centimetres (13.9 inches). The lumbar support and leg-rest can be adjusted electronically while the headrest is fully adjustable allowing you to find your own personal comfort zone. The seats also feature privacy hoods, individual reading lamps and personal swivel tables.
The Business Class sleeperette seats are in a 2-3-2 configuration with a recline of 29 centimetres (11.5 inches). There is plenty of room to spread out and work – or to simply stretch out, with seat rows spaced a generous 1.52 metres (60 inches) apart. The seat’s footrest and lumbar support are controlled electronically and there is an adjustable winged-headrest. If flying overnight, you will receive a complimentary amenity kit containing everything you need to arrive refreshed.
To keep you entertained, Emirates in-flight entertainment system offers a choice of 15 TV, 22 audio and 18 interactive games channels. In First Class and Business class, you can also choose from a library of over 40 films to watch on your personal high definition screen. If you need to stay in touch while in the air, there is a personal satellite phone in each seat, plus a central fax machine and laptop recharging points. In Economy Class, e ach seat back contains a high definition 16.5cm (6.5 inches) screen on which to enjoy the 15 TV, 22 audio and 18 interactive games channels, and a personal satellite phone. A happy recipient of an upgrade in Vienna! EK has increased the pitch on its 330s in the past few years. they still are lacking in width however. Where most carriers configure their J class in a 6 abreast patterns, EK squeezes a few more revenue miles out by seating pax 7 abreast. The entertainment system was not AVOD but they did have a choice of several good movies, including "The Queen". | |||||||
