Travelled with my 15 year old granddaughter on 7th April on Jetstar Dreamliner from Sydney to Honolulu. Nine and a half hours of misery. Paid extra for upfront seats assuming families with kids would not pay the extra. Wrong! Baby of about 12 months was in the row in front and yelled hysterically on and off throughout the entire night. It's two sibling joined in about 4am and squealed and talked and laughed for the rest of the trip. Scoot does not allow babies and young children in it's quiet zone up front - Jetstar should do the same.
The journey was not comfortable because the seats were too narrow and not enough room between the rows. We felt very restricted.
Touch screen entertainment was good with a reasonable choice of movies. Aircraft was a lot quieter than any others I have travelled on. Would like to fly on the Dreamliner again with a full service airline with better seating configuration.

I travelled with my 9 year old son from Tokyo to Cairns in December 2019 - overnighter. The arm rest between 10 D and 10 E can be raised, unlike all other arm rests in row 10. The extra leg room was great and because it is not an exit isle, I used an inflatable foot cushion. We had an overhead locker to ourselves. The TV is stored in the armrest and sits a little lower than the ones in the back of the seat, but not uncomfortably low. Definitely recommend pre-purchasing food as I didn’t on this leg and although I was at the front of the plane, a lot of the meals were sold out. Business and the small economy section row 10 is in, exit first which is nice. Staff were friendly.

I always pick this seat when I fly as I'm 198cm. It is next to the toilet and emergency exit so there is an open floor space which give me room to stretch my legs out and stand up if I get sore. Jetstar seats are the worst and I got a very sore bum the first 2 times I flew to Japan. But then I got a quality lambs wool cushion which I always use now, it make the flights so much better. The food is very average so I always take bars, nuts and my own sandwiches. TV and tray table are built into the arm rest. so if the person next to you is using the arm rest you need to ask them to move their arm.

I travelled Business with my 9 year old son. He sat in 3A and I was 3B. I enjoyed the experience. The staff were lovely. Food was nice. There is a foot rest but may need to ask how to operate it. My only ‘word of warning’ is regarding 3A. When the person reclines in seat 2A you are kind of stuck in your seat, because the space between the back of the recliner 2A chair and the armrest between 3A and 3B, is minimal. Even my skinny child had to crawl to get out.

In Dreamliner I always book seat in row 10.
Best is ABC or GHI ( side seats not mildly )
No seat in front so no one seat closing u in.
Heaps of leg room & wheelie hand luggage on floor after take off means u can elevate legs. Also can stand & stretch without standing in Passage way. Another good thing u don’t have to climb over anyone when needing to visit bathroom. Lastly 1st if plane every time .Best seats ever

No complaints with this seat at all. Loads of legroom, close to toilet and seats were leather. They’re slightly more narrow as the tray table and entertainment unit is located in the arm rest. It can get a bit crowded with people standing in front of you waiting for the toilet but they were respectful of us and we never once felt crowded. Flight departed on time and arrived early into Bali. Happy Jetstar customer yet again!

Legroom was good. Seat was narrow and uncomfortable. Recline was standard. Entertainment was non existent- all movies were $13 each, nothing included. I purchased a "meal" expecting to receive an airline meal, but instead received a small box of butter chicken. Then the option of tea, coffee or water. The coffee was horrible and undrinkable. The staff were not gracious and had bad attitude.

I didn't think Jetstar Business Class was that great until I experienced Jetstar economy on the way home. Now I would definitely try to fly Business Class next time. The seats were far more comfortable. The service and meal was good. I didn't use the entertainment but saw others using it and at least it was included at no extra charge. The staff were lovely.

this trip is first time on a 787-8.
Qantas have proven very smart to put the 787-8 into their Low Cost Fleet to gain or the necessary new type experience for the group by flying it in the JQ fleet.
All aspects excel what you would normally expect on a LCC with good seats and legroom. The Business Class product should best be call Business Class Lite.

This is a bassinet seat. It feels spacious but beware other passengers will walk over your seat throughout the whole flight as they try to get to the toilet which is only on the right side of the plane. Because the galley is blocked off nearly 100% of the time, all foot traffic to the toilet will cross your seat stepping on your feet and knocking your knees.
